“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” –Matthew 28:19-20-
In 1975 Loren Cunningham (founder of YWAM) and Bill Bright (founder of Campus Crusade) developed together a God-given, world-changing strategy about how to put this bible verse into practice. They concluded that in order to truly transform any nation with the gospel of Jesus, we must reach out to seven different spheres of society:
1.Religion
Every society is shaped by some type of religion or specific belief. Here in Kosovo the superior belief is the Muslim faith. Even though most Albanian Muslims do not practice their faith they often identify themselves by their religion. Christians and the church need to step in and share the love of God to their people. Moreover, the church in Kosovo needs to be strengthened and Christians need to grow in faith in order to be able to influence all other parts of society in their daily lives.
2.Family
Families built community and society is set up by community. In a generation where the family how God intended it to be is being under such controversies and attacks by issues like fatherlessness, divorce , abuse, homosexual marriage and pornography, God calls us to bring back his order and love into the families of our society.
3.Education
As education is one of the most powerful weapons on earth we have to pay attention to what we pass on to the next generation. What children are learning today decides about our worlds’ tomorrow.
4.Government
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.” –Proverbs 14:34-
A nation is led by its government. So wherever the government is heading the society is heading as well. We need to bring the gospel of Jesus into the government in order to find righteous political leaders having a positive effect on all aspects of government and therefore, on the whole society. Especially here in Kosovo where we are having a high level of corruption in the Government the body of Christ needs to reach out to this sphere.
5.Media
Media has the power to shape opinions. It speaks either truth or lie and this world needs Christians who are willing to report righteously and truthfully in the secular marketplace. Society is fed by media and this is often being twisted, negatively influenced or untruthful.

6.Arts and Entertainment
This mountain is one of the most influential forces shaping our society. Music, filmmaking, sports, television, social media and performing arts are everywhere, determining the daily life of every individual. They set the values and standards of a nation’s citizens, particularly its youth. As we have a very young population here in Kosovo, arts and entertainment needs to be influenced by Christians in our country.
7.Business
The business world is often harsh and corrupted, self-centered and only focused on making as much money as possible without any regard to justice. In the midst of these conditions Christians with the God-given gift of creating wealth through business ideas need to take their place and manage businesses with integrity and honesty and thereby little by little changing the business world into a God-minded purpose: to use prosperity for the kingdom of God.
Step by step we can shape and influence the 7 mountains of society and therefore truly reach and transform the nations.
